Behaviour Learning Support Assistant – Primary School, Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:00pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Location: Southampton
Contract: Start through Teaching Personnel, with the chance to move onto a school contract

Are you someone who loves working with children and wants to make a real difference in their lives?

A friendly and supportive primary school in Southampton is looking for a full-time Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January. This role is all about helping children who may find school a bit more challenging and need some extra guidance with their emotions and behaviour.

• Supporting children one-to-one or in small groups
• Helping them stay on track with learning and manage their emotions
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
• Creating a calm and positive environment in the classroom

• Experience (personal or professional) supporting children or young people with additional needs – this might be in a school, care, medical, or home setting
• A calm, caring and patient approach
• A DBS on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for one)
• Someone happy to complete Teaching Personnel’s vetting process during the summer holidays

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
