Position: Teaching Assistant (Permanent)
Teaching Personnel are working with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in the heart of Southampton. Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide personalised assistance to students to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the classroom teacher in managing and preparing the learning environment.
Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
Work with small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning material.
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
Supervise students during break times, excursions, and other school activities.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
Qualifications and

Experience:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is desirable but no essential.
A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is preferred but again not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
