Are you a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant looking for your next full-time role in Southampton?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school in Southampton that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time position, working initially through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition onto a direct school contract for the right candidate.
- Supporting primary-aged pupils with trauma-informed needs and behavioural challenges
- Opportunities available across both primary and secondary sites
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and access learning in a safe, structured environment
- Working closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team
- Have experience working with children who have experienced trauma
- Be confident supporting pupils with behavioural needs
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience
- Be able to commit to a full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Be ready to start immediately
Experience in SEMH, alternative provision, or SEN settings is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
