About the Role

A dedicated Religious Education Teacher is required to join a supportive and values‑driven secondary school near central Southampton. This long‑term role is to start as soon as possible, continuing through to July 2026, teaching RE across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

You will deliver a curriculum that encourages students to explore worldviews, ethics, belief systems, and cultural understanding. The department provides strong planning support, with schemes of work and resources available, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging, reflective, and thought‑provoking lessons. Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.

Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Recent experience teaching Religious Education in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Passionate about RE and able to inspire students through engaging, reflective teaching
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 preferred
Adaptable, collaborative, and aligned with the school’s values‑driven approach
