Maths Teacher

Position: Maths Teacher Permanent)

Quantum Scholars are currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to start ASAP.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a supportive, well-resourced department with a collaborative and positive ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that motivate, challenge, and inspire students

Plan, teach, and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policies

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as required

Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with the school's positive behaviour policy

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the wider school community

Requirements

We are seeking a passionate and committed teacher who meets the following criteria:

Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)

Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students

Available to start ASAP

Must have the Right to Work in the UK
