Rosewood Free School is a specialist setting providing education for children and young people aged 2–19+ with severe or profound learning and physical disabilities. We are committed to delivering highly personalised, meaningful learning experiences that support each pupil’s educational, social, emotional and physical development.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This is a highly rewarding role supporting pupils with complex needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and access to high‑quality learning. You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and Headteacher, contributing to the delivery of the curriculum and supporting pupils’ holistic development. The role involves a combination of educational support, personal care and practical assistance throughout the school day.

• ensuring their welfare and emotional needs are met
• and maintaining records of lessons and targets
• in the teacher’s absence, following planned activities
• at all times
• including toileting, changing and cleaning where required
• throughout the day
• following appropriate training
• for pupils during school activities, including minibus or car travel
• such as outings and swimming
• as needed
• where appropriate
• consistent with the role

This post involves strenuous physical activity. All applicants must be able to support with moving and handling; full training will be provided.
