Part Time Library Assistant

Part time Library Assistant needed in Southampton Paying £12.85 per hr  Full time hours on a temporary basis

• To assist with the day to day organisation of the library and its resources and stock;
• To guide any volunteer helpers and to assist with their training and supervision;
• To assist children using the library, whether singly or in groups, ensuring that health, safety and welfare procedures are adhered to;
• To assist and guide the children in their selection of books and resources and to promote and encourage an enjoyment of books and reading;
• To assist with ordering, stocktaking, maintaining books and resources and lifting, organising and arranging books on shelves;
