Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join one of our well-established partner schools in Southampton. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a diverse range of learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
You will play a key role in delivering tailored, engaging lessons that help each pupil achieve their full potential, while contributing to a nurturing and inclusive school community.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver creative, individualised lessons in line with pupils' EHCP targets.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and parents/carers.
- Track, monitor, and assess progress, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development with empathy and consistency.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN in either mainstream or specialist settings.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective differentiation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident approach to behaviour management.
- A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach to meeting individual needs.
