Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in the Southampton area. This full-time position offers a fulfilling opportunity to support children and young people with autism and Asperger s, helping them to flourish within a structured, nurturing environment. The role is available ASAP through to July 2026, with the potential to become permanent.

The school supports students aged 4 to 12 with population of approximately 200 pupils. It prides itself on delivering high quality education. A dedicated and collaborative staff team works closely together to promote students independence, wellbeing, and academic development. Free on-site parking is available.
Role Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate EYFS lessons
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children s social, emotional, and academic development
- Assess progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYFS equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Experience working in an early years setting
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Competitive daily rate (£82.50 £ 90 per day), dependent on experience.
