Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across the Southampton area. These roles involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

You will be working either one-to-one or in small groups, supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to thrive in an inclusive and nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist with managing behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
  • Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people (particularly with SEN or additional needs)
  • A calm, patient and resilient nature
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
