Project Designer

Overview

Superyacht custom tender builder, based in Hamble requires experienced designer to join our design team.

The candidate will ideally have a naval architecture degree or qualification in small craft design or similar, with the following attributes:

• Be proficiently skilled with 2D & 3D Cad software, we predominantly use Rhino 3D.
• Collaborate with design studios, stylists and Owner’s teams, turning concept designs into reality.
• Successful project management experience, ensuring projects are compliant with build standards, delivered on time and on budget to the clients agreed specification.
• A good, up to date knowledge of composite production techniques and processes.
• Comfortable producing detailed tooling models for CNC machined moulds.
• Complete detailed technical drawings, for issue to production. Monitoring the parts through production to installation.
• Work with a small and select number of external suppliers to produce outsourced parts to superyacht standards.
• Experience with ‘photo realistic’ rendering software, would be beneficial.

A clear understanding of the highest superyacht standards and the demanding expectations of the end user is essential.
