The School of Humanities at the University of Southampton offers high-quality teaching across a diverse range of subjects within a vibrant research and enterprise environment. Southampton Digital Humanities supports this environment by enabling staff and students to adopt digital and computational approaches in humanities teaching, research, and enterprise.

You will play a key role in delivering the Southampton Digital Preservation Advisory Unit, a new flagship enterprise project supported by Southampton Digital Humanities. Your responsibilities will include planning enterprise activities, developing a specialized area, contributing to income generation, and providing excellent services to clients and partners. Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of digital preservation or digitization in a cultural heritage context, with a PhD or equivalent professional experience in a related field.

You will join a dedicated team of educators and researchers, supported by recent investments in Digital Humanities expertise, infrastructure, and resources. Notably, our Digital Humanities Hub offers facilities for studying and researching digital heritage, including technologies for scanning, manipulating, and preserving heritage objects, creating virtual environments, analyzing multimedia, sonifying images, and visualizing data.
