Assistant Quantity Surveyor New Build (Residential & Commercial)

North West We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering new build residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for a commercially aware Assistant QS looking to progress within a stable business with a strong project pipeline. Youll be site-based with support from an experienced Senior QS and Commercial Manager, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Assisting with cost management on new build residential and commercial projects Supporting subcontract procurement, valuations, and variations Producing cost reports and assisting with forecasting Measurement of works and subcontractor account management Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts Liaising with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors Candidate Profile Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management 13 years experience in an Assistant QS role (contractor background preferred) Experience on new build projects (residential or commercial) Strong Excel and cost reporting skills Ambitious, detail-driven, and keen to progress Full UK driving licence Whats on Offer Competitive salary with clear progression structure Support towards RICS or equivalent qualification Long-term work secured through a strong order book Exposure to both residential and commercial developments Supportive commercial team and structured mentoring
