Senior Insight Analyst Analysis

Are you analytical, curious, and passionate about turning data into meaningful insight? Southampton Solent University is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Insight Analyst to join the Business Planning & Insights team and play a key role in supporting evidence-based decision-making across the institution.

You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality insight, dashboards and evaluation activity that inform improvements to student experience, success and outcomes. Working closely with the Performance & Analysis Manager and colleagues across Schools and Professional Services, you will help translate complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear recommendations and accessible reporting tools that support both strategic and operational priorities.

• Developing and maintaining dashboards and recurring reporting products that enable self-service insight across the University.
• Analysing quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, risks and opportunities relating to student performance and experience.
• Contributing to the design and evaluation of surveys and feedback mechanisms.
• Producing clear written briefings, reports and presentations for a range of stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively with academic and professional service teams to respond to emerging business needs and reporting cycles.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience analysing data and presenting clear, practical insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and confidence working with reporting or BI tools.
• An understanding of both quantitative and qualitative approaches, including surveys or feedback analysis.
