Ordnance Survey (OS) is the national mapping agency for Great Britain, delivering trusted location data and insights that help build a better-connected world. We are looking for a talented Product Manager to lead the performance, evolution, and strategic direction of our product portfolio. If you’re passionate about turning customer needs and market opportunities into impactful products, we’d love to hear from you.
** About the role
** Our Data Products team is looking for people to help inspire the organisation and our customers, to go ‘somewhere new’, by ensuring we successfully deliver our products and helping to build a portfolio of next generation data, services and platforms.

You’ll be looking after our Names and Places data products within the Address and Location portfolio.

As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of products that serve customers across the Public Sector and OS Partners. Your responsibilities will include defining and delivering data products and services that address user-centric propositions, ensuring a balance between market demand, technical feasibility, and affordability, all while prioritising an exceptional user experience. Building and nurturing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be fundamental to your success in this role.

Working closely with the wider Product Management team, data experts, and key stakeholders, you will manage a portfolio of products through their full lifecycle from discovery to end-of-life. You’ll take ownership of large-scale enhancements and new product releases, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery including design, quality sign-off, and go-to-market activity. Using data-driven decisions, you’ll determine when to progress through lifecycle stages and implement agreed withdrawal plans on time.

Strong stakeholder management is essential, as you’ll collaborate across Customer, Marketing, Data and Technology, as well as directly with customers. In addition, you’ll define and implement product improvements, resolve quality issues, create and deliver roadmaps, maintain product collateral, and lead performance reviews. Coaching and mentoring team members will also be a key part of your role.

We want you to contribute towards our ambition to refine and manage the National Map, deliver our Data and Destinations Strategy and empower our customers to meet their goals. Most of all, you’ll play a critical role in helping OS to realise its vision: to be recognised as world leaders in geospatial services; creating location insight for positive impact.
** Key Responsibilities
** You will be a self-starting professional who has a strong interest in geospatial data, its application, and customer benefits it can deliver. You should have a background in product management or product development in the private or public sector Excellent understanding of customer needs and market insight, with the ability to translate this into a product roadmap for future product development Good knowledge of user-centred design and experience in driving engagement with key customers, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure that product plans reflect a deep understanding of customer needs Experience and knowledge of sectors that use OS data, for example, Land and Property, Emergency Services or Utilities would be desirable, but not essential
** We want you to love what you do. That is why our benefits package rewards a job well done. Check out how we support and invest in our employees by*
