Position: Administrator - Bank/Flexi Contract

About The Role

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and detail-driven Administrator/Receptionist to help deliver a high-quality, accurate and timely service to our colleagues and patients. This is a varied and flexible role at the heart of the hospital, where no two days are the same and confidentiality and care are key. Training will be provided for all of the above duties and supported by the Administration Lead.

This vacancy is offering a bank/flexi contract offer the successful applicant to work shifts covering sickness and annual leave when it fits around current commitments.

Monday-Saturday - shifts available within core hospital hours of 07:00-18:00

What you’ll be doing

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to stay calm in difficult circumstances as well as:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, handling enquiries and providing clear directions
  • Accurately recording patient information and communications on hospital systems
  • Scanning, preparing and managing medical records for clinics and audits
  • Booking appointments, processing referrals and preparing patient correspondence
  • Handling incoming telephone enquiries from patients and service users
  • Maintaining high standards of data protection, health & safety and quality at all times

Just as important though is your flexibility, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Confident communication skills and a professional, caring manner
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage varied tasks
  • Confidence using IT systems and handling sensitive information securely
  • A flexible, team-focused approach with a commitment to policies and procedures
