Audit Senior / Assistant Manager - Southampton Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established, reputable accountancy firm in the South West who are looking to recruit a Audit Senior to join their expanding audit team.

This forward-thinking firm is renowned for delivering high-quality audit and accounts services while maintaining a culture that values balance, development, and long-term progression. They are now seeking an ambitious and personable audit professional who is keen to broaden their experience and take the next step in their  this role, you will assist in the planning and execution of statutory audits for a varied portfolio of clients, taking ownership of smaller assignments while supporting larger engagements.

You will supervise and guide junior team members, prepare audit documentation, and raise technical or client-specific issues with suggested solutions. The role also involves developing strong working relationships with clients and ensuring audits are completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with professional standards.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA part-qualified or studying, (QBE also considered) with relevant experience in statutory audit within a professional practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a professional and client-focused approach, and the ability to manage time effectively are essential.
