About the role. Reporting to the warehouse manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficient operation of the warehouse, including receiving and storing stock, maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, and assisting customers.

• Offload and receive stock from suppliers.
• Validate and check goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Put away stock in designated bin locations or shelves.

• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
• Ensure proper barcoding of products and shelving in collaboration with the office administrator.
• Conduct regular stock checks to identify discrepancies and minimise losses.
• Pick and dispatch stock for deliveries accurately and efficiently.
• Assist walk-in customers with their orders and inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet customer demands.

• Clean the warehouse facility regularly to maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Adhere to 5S or housekeeping standards to optimise efficiency and productivity.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.

• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company safety policies.
• Wear the provided personal protective clothing at all times.
• Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials if applicable.

• Assist with the loading and offloading of delivery vehicles when required.
• Ensure goods are secured properly during transportation to prevent damage.

About you:

• National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Knowledge of basic computer systems for inventory tracking is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OHSA regulations and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
