Transport Administrator - Logistics​/Freight environment

Introduction

• Overseeing the day to day operations for National Distribution, ensuring a streamlined operation which optimizes all relevant procedures;
• Managing the daily / weekly / monthly invoicing while controlling the administration and always keeping the Loss Files and Credit Notes KPI above the acceptable min;
• Daily system maintenance and capturing on WMS to ensure the complete and closure of all Inbound / Outbound / Returns orders as well as the alignment of Inventory between customer and supplier. Meeting all customer KPI's according to the contracts.

• Plan and communicate daily operational activities for the National Distribution operations;
• Obtain quotations from service providers for customer specific requirements;
• Obtain quotations from suppliers for the strapping and packing on containers on special and ad-hoc requests;
• Manage cargo that is handed over for distribution on time and vehicles leaving as per scheduled time;
• Conciliate service providers invoices against deliveries;
• Ensure the accurate and timeous billing of clients;
• Manage the WMS system and maintain a basic level of troubleshooting and system maintenance when required;
• Work closely with the Contract Logistics Site Managers, Contract Logistics Specialists, Contract Logistics Customer Service Specialists, Service Providers and Operational teams to establish corrective and preventative action in case of KPI’s not being met;
• Ensure monthly reports are complide and presented to customers.

• 3 to 5 years experience in a transport admin role, providing customer service to clients;
• Matric;
• Valid drivers licence.
