The Role

Job Description

Assisting the department manager by planning, supervising and coordinating activities and employees in the department. Ensuring compliance and accuracy within the department. Monitoring stock requirements, preparing orders and ensuring the stock is ready on time.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
  • Strong mathematical literacy.
  • Forklift license and experience.
  • Code 14 drivers license with PDP and experience as a truck driver.
  • Experience in a supervisory role will be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and organisational qualities.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to grow.
  • Experience working in a dispatch/logistics department.
  • Ability to lift and move 25kg.
  • Availability to work overtime and be flexible.
  • Good time management.
Duties and Responsibility
  • Relay instructions to truck drivers and dispatch staff members.
  • Supervise truck drivers and dispatch staff members.
  • Supervising the accurate loading of trucks and monitoring the related paperwork.
  • Monitoring stock and participating in stock counts.
  • Assisting all members of the department to perform their duties well.
  • Standing in for any member of the department if the need occurs.
