TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position:
To provide transportation services for teams and/or equipment to the various locations and areas where the organisation provides services; to assist with the mobilisation of clients to the programme.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12/matric certificateValid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)Minimum of 2 years driving experienceGood communication skillsProficiency in English and isi Xhosa/any local languageClear criminal recordDuties and Responsibilities
Transports wellness teams and equipment to and from different locationsWorks as part of a multi-disciplinary teamConducts daily vehicle inspections and reports defects to line managerAdheres to all safety precautions and road ordinancesComplies with relevant legislation and organisation policies and proceduresMaintains client confidentiality and supports community outreach activitiesCarries out and/or ensures all maintenance is carried out on all vehiclesMobilises clients to access services and acts as a marshal to ensure order during community outreach activitiesComplies with the standard operating procedures for vehiclesConducts mapping and site profilingSkills and Competencies
