Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective and sustainable security programs that mitigate risk to people, assets and objectives while protecting Pepsi Co Brands, as directed by Business Unit leadership, Global Security Director (SA) and Pepsi Co Office of Global Security.
  • Execute operational implementation of strategic planning as directed by Security Director – Global Security (SA) in conjunction with Area Security Manager and/or Assistant Area Security Manager.
  • Serve as a Business Unit asset on Isando, Gauteng premises, responding to all emerging security risks and incidents on the allocated dedicated premises.
  • Protect people and assets across three (3) premises; FTE of 800.
  • Implement the Site Security Plan in line with the Country broader strategy, identify, assess and mitigate risks to associates, facilities, proprietary information and brand reputation.
  • Participate in the Site Crisis Management Team, executing security functions as part of Business Continuity Plans.
  • Ensure premises compliance with the Site security plan across technology, procedural, manned guarding and architectural aspects.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with local management teams.
  • Plan and oversee periodic security self-assessments and bi-annual security risk assessments on premises to identify critical vulnerabilities and assist in closing risks through cost-effective enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, regulatory authorities and security managers of large multinational companies.
  • Ensure compliance with Pepsi Co EMEA Security Risk Management System and supporting standards and procedures.
  • Assist in delivering security awareness and training programs to associates.
  • Advise and assist during security incidents, providing on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to site leaders.
  • Support the Area Security Manager/Assistant in implementing security plans to strengthen supply chain protection (Make/Move/Sell).
  • Conduct and coordinate investigations into counterfeiting, extortion, contamination, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, Speak‑Up, fraud, corruption and other security threats.
  • Provide training to security guards and employees on strike protocols during strike operations or labor disputes.
  • Oversee security guard companies to leverage economies of scale, implement a KPI management system, and evaluate services of 3rd‑party security providers on a monthly basis.
  • Manage 3rd‑party security providers and evaluate service monthly according to KPIs.
  • Ensure continued professional development of the security team, including succession planning.
  • Implement all security policies, plans and site SOPs.
  • Report incidents immediately to Line Manager, compiling reports per Security Policies.
  • Review CCTV recordings daily for irregularities.
  • Collaborate with Control Room Coordinator to provide evidence during security incidents and support EHS with safety incident evidence when required.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, including 3 years of security experience in the private sector (preferably industrial sectors) with responsibilities as listed above.
  • Knowledge of best security practices, principles and objectives.
  • Well‑refined interpersonal skills.
  • PSIRA (Grade

    A) security qualification.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and remain connected 24/7.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines and multitask.
