Role Overview
The Internal Sales Support candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth sales operations and excellent customer relationships. reporting to the Sales Manager, you’ll support the processing of orders and proactively engage with clients to close deals and grow revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process and track sales orders, ensuring timely data entry and coordination with operations and logistics
Proactively contact clients (email/phone) to confirm orders, address queries, close pending deals, and follow up on quotations
Manage the sales pipeline, update CRM or internal tracking systems
Generate sales documentation: quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes, sales reports
Liaise with Warehouse, Installation, and Contracts teams to coordinate delivery logistics and ensure customer satisfaction
Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities from existing clients
Provide administrative support to Sales Director and team (e.g., meeting scheduling, preparing client reports)
Act as an internal point of contact for clients, fostering long-term relationships through excellent communication
Ideal Candidate Profile
2–4 years’ experience in internal sales support, administrative support in sales, or order processing, preferably within engineering, industrial materials, or technical settings
Excellent phone and email communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and close deals
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy for order entry and invoicing
Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Quick Books, Zoho) is a plus
Proactive and goal oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
? Qualifications
Minimum Matric or NQF 4, though a higher certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Commerce, or related field is advantageous
Experience or understanding of technical sales or engineering materials will be beneficial
