Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager – Lubricants to drive growth across the automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial sectors. This role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic sales capability, and the ability to build and maintain high-value customer and distribution partnerships.

  • Develop and execute strategic action plans to grow lubricant and chemical sales across multiple sectors.
  • Identify and secure distribution partners to expand market coverage and profitability.
  • Drive organic volume and market share growth across transport, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, mining, marine, forestry, food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Maintain and grow the existing customer portfolio; conduct joint business reviews and ensure high service levels.
  • Provide technical support and product training where required.
  • Lead and coordinate the regional sales team, monitor performance, and support skills development.
  • Develop regional budgets, participate in operational reviews, and ensure accurate reporting on sales, competitors, stock requirements and CRM data.
  • Grade 12 and valid Code 08 driver’s license.
  • Diploma in Sales or Marketing advantageous.
  • Relevant training in Key Account Management, Negotiation, Presentation or Sales Management beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years’ high-level sales experience in the automotive/lubricants environment.
  • Strong product and technical knowledge of lubricants, chemicals or motor parts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
