We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiologist who specialises in the production of micro‑organisms to join our team. One of our clients, who is a leading company dedicated to the development and production of sustainable agricultural products, is looking for a Microbiologist. They specialise in biological pest control solutions and aim to enhance agricultural productivity through innovative microbiological technologies.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in microbiology, with a focus on producing Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp. products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research and production team, contributing to the development and optimisation of microbial products for agricultural use.
- Develop and optimize production processes for micro‑organisms, specifically Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp.
- Perform routine microbiological techniques including culturing, staining, microscopy, PCR, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.
- Design and execute experiments to test and improve the efficacy of microbial products.
- Ensure accurate documentation of experimental protocols, results, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate microbiological insights into product development.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of advancements in microbiology and related fields.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to microbial production.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to scientific papers, reports, and presentations to communicate research findings.
- Commitment to ethical practices and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to work with sensitive intellectual property and maintain confidentiality.

- Expertise in the production of micro‑organisms.
- In‑depth knowledge of industrial microbiology practices.
- Proficiency in microbiological techniques such as culturing, staining, microscopy, PCR, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.
- Comprehensive understanding of microbial taxonomy, physiology, and ecology.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for presenting research findings, collaborating with colleagues, and writing scientific papers and reports.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic research environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of results.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong academic background coupled with extensive practical experience in microbiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in microbiology, particularly in a similar industry or research setting.
- Demonstrated experience with laboratory techniques, equipment, and protocols specific to microbiology.
- Proven track record in the production of Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp. products is highly desirable.
- Preference for candidates with significant industry experience over purely academic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt experimental protocols or approaches as needed.
- Flexibility to manage dynamic project requirements and timelines.
