SUMMARY:

The role is to increase profitability through effective management of quality in ladies wear.

• Diploma in Clothing Production, Design or Pattern Making is an advantage
• Experience
• Managerial Skills – At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Management in the Clothing Industry
• Pattern making and grading Knowledge and experience
• Experience in Garment construction & garment engineering

• Ensure orders meet customer requirements – achieve customer “A” rating
• Manage quality auditors to reduce repairs and rejects
• Oversee laboratory and ensure fabric meets required standard and specification
• Monitor the quality standard of laundered garments (Internal and External Laundries)
• Monitor quality at all stages of production and solve problems timeously.
• Provide technical assistance to merchants and sample department at product development stage in respect of garment engineering and quality standards
• Monitor claims on materials and garments by making recommendations on faulty materials and finished goods
• Monitor completion of trial runs and style meetings
• Build and establish relationships with QA departments
• Performance management and training and development of staff
