Quality Control Officer | Pinetown

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Pinetown, is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join their team. This candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving quality standards of an exceptional level.

• Conduct routine and ad-hoc inspections and testing of products to ensure compliance with established quality standards, procedures, and specifications
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or process deviations, ensuring timely escalation where required
• Investigate quality issues and defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Support product development initiatives, including participation in development projects and sample approval processes
• Coordinate and manage internal and external samples for new products and packaging projects.
• Compile, maintain, and control the product and packaging specifications database to ensure accuracy and version control
• Monitor quality performance metrics, including PPM trends, and conduct root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with marketing team on product advertising

• Matric
• National diploma or equivalent in Operations Management/Quality
• Proven experience in a similar role is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in recording data
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Must be able to use a computer, Microsoft package
