Quality Control
- Strong capability to perform mechanical inspections (CMM advantageous).
- Strong sense of direction.

- Control of process and final product scrap and rework.
- Approves incoming materials, qc specific consumables, tooling as per ECL plan by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Review of quality documentation when applicable.
- Implementation and review of quality processes.
- Ability to analyse, improve and optimize quality.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal requirements.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Reports non-conformities.
- Records, captures and monitors scrap and rework.
- Non-destructive and destructive testing of samples as per requirements.
- Management of internal and external testing of products.
- Ability to perform testing of products.
- Ability to work and support operational needs.
- Availability to work overtime to support operational requirements.
- NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) Qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
- Exposure and understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- At least 3 years’ experience in mechanical inspection in manufacturing.
- Experience in LEAN manufacturing would be an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in the application of sampling plans & materials.
- Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability in the interpretation of geometric tolerance and engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated ability in the application of measurement practices.
- Ability to work in other quality areas when required.
