Staff Nurse Ward 112 Inpatient Haematology 36 hour position Fixed term – 11 month contract

We have a vacancy for a full time Staff Nurse in Ward 112 Haematology Inpatients. We provide highly specialised care for patients with a range of haematological conditions. The care is varied, busy and highly rewarding with patients receiving high intensity chemotherapy, stem‑cell transplantation, supportive and holistic care and acutely unwell unscheduled care. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge.

The Anchor Unit as a whole is sociable, fast‑moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse‑led activities, development and further study, offering excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development.

The candidate is required to work 12‑hour shifts and be willing to work day and night duty. The successful candidate will be required to provide a high standard of person‑centred care to individuals and be forward‑thinking with regards to change management.

Whilst some haematology/oncology experience is desirable it is not essential. It is a requirement that the successful candidate, if not currently on the SACT register, undertakes a chemotherapy module; training, funding and support will be provided to undertake this.
