Production Laundry Assistant

Babylonstoren is seeking a reliable and meticulous laundry assistant responsible for washing, drying, ironing, and maintaining the uniforms and workwear from the various production departments on the farm to a high standard.

Requirements:

• Experience with industrial washing machines and ironing equipment would be advantageous.
• Reliable and organised, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English.
• Discreet and professional when handling colleagues' workwear.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling lighter items.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, dry and iron uniforms and other garments in accordance with standard procedures.
• Sort laundry according to colour, fabric type and department.
• Ensure all clothing is returned correctly to the relevant departments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry room.
• Report any damaged items or machine faults to the supervisor.
• Keep records of received and delivered laundry where applicable.
