Production Manager - Cast

Job Description

Calling all experienced Open Cast Production Managers! A large open cast Mining Company based in the Northern Cape Province, has just the opportunity! The role will be responsible to define labour structure and ensure vacancies are filled within reasonable time. Review subordinates’ performances quarterly according to their respective KPIs. Approval and monitor of overtime in maintenance department based on Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirement.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• National Diploma or

B. Degree in Mining

• Mine overseer certificate of competency advantageous

• Must have an opencast blasting ticket

• Between 5 - 10 years’ experience in open cast mining environment of which at least 2 years was at Production Manager level.

• Must have proven experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanically inclined
