Henwil Chickens' growers are looking for candidates interested in poultry farming. Candidates must have good habits, be self-disciplined, trustworthy and must be willing to learn and work hard with a long‑term goal in farming.

The farms are located within a 140km radius around Lichtenburg, Northwest.

The Broiler Manager will be responsible for the effective management of broiler production to achieve optimal bird performance, animal welfare standards, biosecurity compliance, and cost efficiency in line with targets.

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate is required.
• A tertiary qualification in agriculture or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Experience with open houses is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• The person must have good habits, be honest, hardworking, and punctual, and must have a passion for farming.
• Must be task‑orientated and self‑disciplined.
• Must show respect and must be responsible and proud of their work.
• Excellent team working and team management skills with the ability to motivate and delegate tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate.
• Willingness to work over weekends and public holidays.

• The management of multiple sail‑controlled broiler houses.
• Manage daily broiler house operations, including placement, feeding, watering, ventilation, and lighting programs.
• Basic maintenance of the broiler houses.
• Manage farm staff, including supervision, training, performance management, and discipline.
• Monitor feed quality, water quality, and environmental conditions within broiler houses.
• Maintain accurate production records and submit reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
• Liaise with veterinarians, posa developers, and technical advisors.
