Overview
Site: Maidstone Mill
Job Title: Firing Floor Attendant
Grade: B1
Reports to: Boiler Superintendent
Department: Engineering (Boilers)
Main purpose of the job- Lighting up and monitor combustion in the boiler furnace
- Inspect and dump boiler grate
- Execute routine checks of ash system, bagasse feeding system and coal feeding system; and clear any chokes
- Clear under grate chokes and conduct boiler operation routine cleaning work
- Report any defects and nonconformance.
- Ensure safety measures are carried out when executing any work
- Grade 12
- ITC Modules will be an advantage
- 2-3 years’ experience working in the Boilers
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure
