Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury wilderness reserve in Clanwilliam for a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills who enjoys working in a remote, nature-based environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across a premium property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the reserve

• Attending to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic mechanical issues

• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance

• Maintaining staff and guest areas to a high standard

• Reporting larger maintenance issues to management

• Ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are kept in good order

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably within hospitality or a lodge environment

• Good all-round practical and technical skills

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors when required

• Willingness to live on site in a remote location
