L2 IT Engineer

Location: Carletonville

We are seeking a skilled and experienced L2 IT Support Engineer to join a dynamic IT environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working across Microsoft environments, and supporting business-critical infrastructure.

You will act as a second-line escalation point, resolving technical incidents efficiently while ensuring excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Provide second-line (L2) technical support and troubleshooting

Manage and support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments

Administer Active Directory and Windows Server Perform system maintenance, patching, and updates

Handle escalated incidents and perform root cause analysis

Support backup, security, and network infrastructure

Ensure adherence to ITIL-based service management processes

Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in an IT support/infrastructure role Microsoft certifications (e.g. M365, Azure, Windows Server)
Strong knowledge of:

Microsoft 365

Active Directory Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills

Excellent communication and customer engagement skills

Advantageous

Experience in an MSP environment

Exposure to networking and firewall support

Experience with ticketing systems
