Business Improvement Analyst - Industrial​/Data Consultant Potchefstroom On-site

Headquartered in South Africa, my client is one of the largest rock boring and drilling services providers in the world; operating across the African continent in Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Mali, Ghana and Sierra Leone, and in Latin America in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. They also have a presence in the US, Canada, Australia, India, Turkey, China, Russia and France.

• Collaborate with Business Improvement Specialists to analyze business processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization
• Develop data models, dashboards, and reports that provide insights into process performance and drive data-driven decisions
• Utilize process mining tools to assess operational workflows and pinpoint areas for automation
• Support the development of automated solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to influence business strategy and operational improvements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a data science role (preferably focused on business process optimization)
• Experience in SQL & Power BI
• Proven ability to apply statistical modelling to improve business operations (Portfolio of projects)

• Code EB license
• Be able to travel globally

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
• Hands-on experience with data science tools (e.g., Power BI, etc.)
• Knowledge of process automation techniques and experience working with large-scale business datasets
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and drive opportunities for improvement
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations
