Senior Data Scientist

The Senior data Scientist position will require formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects to obtain actionable insights to further the company’s business interest, ultimately creating a data-driven culture with associated new revenue streams and gain in internal efficiencies.

• Building innovate data-driven products through existing and new data sources.
• Liaison with key role-players/ users of data insights
• Linking potential revenue streams to new products built.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve data quality and speed up delivery.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Transform data for the purpose of model building and analyses.
• Identify new opportunities for data driven business in data science and analytics.
• Respond to immediate needs and pull ad hoc data sets requests.

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or equivalent.

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in the data science and/or data analysis field.
• Practical knowledge or know how in agricultural field advantageous.
• Proven track record of successful models/products.

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL and associated database technologies.
• GIS and spatial data handling will be beneficial
• Experience working with Azure, API integrations, and JSON data formats will be beneficial.
