TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. Purpose of the position:
To monitor and evaluate the data collected and captured by the data capturers and to ensure the highest data integrity for accurate reporting. Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the relevant electronic database/s; along with data correctness, completeness, consistency through regular data verification, routine data quality checks and assessments as well as supporting with field visits
Minimum Requirements Degree/Diploma in health/ public health/ social sciences or another relevant fieldCertificate in database managementDHIS or Net data management computer programme certificateMinimum of 2 years’ experience in data management, maintaining and/or updating databases; data verification / quality assurance experienceMinimum of 2 years’ data analysis experience3 years’ experience with HIV, AIDS and STI programme dataNet, DHIS and information management backgroundProficiency in English and isi XhosaValid code 08 driver’s licenseKnowledge and experience in a DREAMS or related programme would be advantageousClear criminal recordDuties and Responsibilities
Receive and verify daily submitted data tools and stationeryEnsure standardized and most up-to-date tools and stationery are used for data collectionAssist in developing or amending tools and stationery as requiredLiaise with regional staff to rectify any gaps/errors with the AYP stationeryEnsure that data captured and reported is accurateVerify all data thoroughly and help implement better ways to improve data qualityMonitor and match all data reconciliation reports on a daily basisEnsure resolution and follow ups are performed timeously on all data discrepancies / variancesConduct and / or participate in site visitsAssist in maintaining data compliance according to funder requirements and THC policiesAssist with the collection of data, presentation and review of documentsVerification of AYP data for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.Conduct routine data quality checks within the specified time framesCompile AYP RDQAsSupport and attend DRUM meetings as requiredProvide consistent and reliable data reporting to managementCompile weekly, monthly and quarterly data reports as directedProvide data capture training, coaching and mentorship as identifiedSkills and Competencies
