Product Design Lead

Psybergate is an IT companybib that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients. We are looking for a Product Design Lead to join our financial services client based in Sandton for a 12-months contract role.

• Engage with business stakeholders to define requirements and, together with the Head of Product Design, establish clear scope, creative briefs, and project plans.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of design outputs, ensuring high-quality execution and an exceptional customer experience throughout each project.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
• Take ownership of the customer experience, constructively challenging decisions to deliver optimal customer outcomes.
• Lead and coach multidisciplinary design teams to deliver unified, high-quality solutions.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships to promote collaboration and efficiency.
• Measure and report on the impact of design on customer experience and business outcomes.
• Create innovative, customer‑centric design solutions aligned to design standards and brand guidelines.
• Apply design thinking and best practices to develop and refine design solutions.
• Use customer insights, data, and research to inform design decisions and continuously improve outcomes.

• Completed IT / BSc degree or other related fields
• + 5 years' experience in Product Design
• Strong experience applying design thinking and user‑centred design methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage design delivery end‑to‑end.
• Experience working closely with business and technical stakeholders in complex environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments will be advantageous.
