Location: Mkuze

A small and intimate nature-based Lodge, sleeping a maximum of 14 guests, is seeking a FRONT OF HOUSE to join their team.

The lodge operates primarily on a self-catering basis, with occasional catering requests, and places a strong emphasis on delivering a warm, memorable guest experience. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on, guest-facing position in a small, nature-based lodge environment. It would suit an individual who thrives in a close-knit team, is adaptable, and takes pride in creating a warm and welcoming guest experience.

Core Criteria:
  • Previous experience in front of house, guest relations, or hospitality
  • Strong guest-facing skills with a natural hosting ability
  • Comfortable handling administrative duties
  • Confident using booking and accounting systems, including:
    Nights bridge, , Airbnb, Lekke Slaap and Xero
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote, bush environment
  • Reliable, responsible, and adaptable
  • Physically fit and willing to be hands-on
  • Strong work ethic with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable living and working in a bush / remote setting
  • Suited to a practical, outdoors-based lifestyle
Core Responsibilities:
  • Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Hosting guests and providing lodge orientation
  • Ensuring high standards of room checks and overall lodge presentation
  • Assisting across all lodge departments as required
  • Handling reception and administrative duties
  • Assisting with deliveries, stocktaking, and basic inventory control
  • Supporting and communicating effectively with other departments
  • Managing guest queries and complaints professionally
  • Assisting with ad hoc marketing-related tasks
  • Upholding the lodge’s brand, service, and operational standards
  • Performing ad hoc duties as required
  • Being a strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Offer:
  • Live-in position with uniform included
  • R10,000 per month
  • Work cycle of 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
