Position: Field Guide / Host
Location: Riebeek-Kasteel

A one-of-a-kind Cape Farmhouse Hotel set on a working farm and private nature reserve in the Riebeek Valley area is looking for a Field Guide / Host.

We are looking for a flexible applicant who would like to learn, you will a lot of opportunity to assist on the working farm and learn farming operations. The reserve is small but special and has many endemic rare flowers and plants, with ample good antelope, small cats, birds and foxes.

We are looking for a passionate candidate who enjoys the outdoors, hospitality and hosting.

In this role, you’ll welcome and host guests at the farmhouse and hotel, assist with check in and check out, provide local insights and guide them through farm walks, nature activities and scenic experiences.

The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable and enthusiastic about creating exceptional guest experiences in a peaceful, luxury country setting and will be assisting on the farm during the quieter months so willing to be flexible with tasks.

Requirements:

Previous experience in hospitality, guiding, or guest services is an advantage
FGASA Level 1 or similar Guiding course
Drivers licence and PDP
English and Afrikaans

Package on offer:

R12K + overtime and public holidays paid
Live in (own staff house for the guides)
No cycles (6 days off per month with annual leave in July)
