- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or C.A. preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in the sawmill or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a key role in the strategic management of the company, overseeing all financial activities to ensure the financial health and stability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the sawmill or manufacturing industry, strong leadership skills, and a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling activities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Operational Finance:
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital to maintain financial stability.
- Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to the company.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and manage relationships with insurance providers.
- Oversee investment activities and manage company assets.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Promote a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Business Partnership:
- Partner with other senior leaders to drive business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Participate in key business meetings and contribute to the overall management of the company.
