Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Import & Foreign Payments Intern to support the organisation’s international procurement and finance functions on a 1-year fixed-term internship. The role provides practical exposure to foreign payments, import processes, supplier ordering, and financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing and tracking foreign payments

• Support import documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs documents)

• Assist with supplier ordering and international purchase orders

• Liaise with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and suppliers

• Maintain accurate records of import transactions and payments

• Support reconciliation of foreign currency transactions

• Assist with compliance with exchange control and import regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Completed BCom degree with focus on Foreign Payments, Imports, Finance, or Procurement

• Must have completed studies (graduate status)

• Basic understanding of import procedures and foreign exchange

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Computer literacy (MS Excel and financial systems)
