Job Description
NQ SAIPA ACCOUNTANT - R 500k pa - BENONI, GAUTENG
A well-established organisation operating within the manufacturing sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive new / recently qualified SAIPA Accountant to join its finance team.
This role offers broad exposure across the full accounting function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a structured, operationally driven environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting operational decision-making through clear financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packs including management accounts, trial balance, income statement and balance sheet reporting.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including accruals, work in progress, goods in transit and asset clearing.
- Analyse management accounts and provide commentary on expenses in collaboration with operational teams.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records and general ledger transactions.
- Process month-end journals and perform bank and cashbook reconciliations.
- Manage tax-related processes including VAT, PAYE and UIF reconciliations and submissions in line with SARS requirements.
- Assist with year-end external audit processes and respond to audit queries.
- Review and approve supplier reconciliations and payment releases.
- Maintain and update accounting system master data to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Finance or Management Accounting degree or diploma (minimum 3-year qualification).
- Completed SAIPA/CIMA articles or similar
- Experience on ERP systems such as Business Central, SAP or SYSPRO beneficial.

- Willingness to work overtime when required.

Language Requirement
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken, written and reading proficiency required).
