A well-established engineering organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineering Design Technologist/Technician to join their team. This is a permanent position at a senior level, requiring a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the field.

Qualifications:

• National Diploma in engineering, in a relevant discipline.

Registrations:

• Registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) as a Professional Engineering Technician/Technologist.
• Labour Intensive Construction NQF Level 5 or 7.

Software:

Proficiency in the following software is essential:

• Civil Designer or Civil 3D.
• AutoCAD.

Duties:

As a Senior Civil Engineering Design Technologist/Technician, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design and development of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Conducting site visits and surveys to gather data for design purposes.
• Developing detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using specialised software.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated project design and execution.
• Reviewing and analysing technical documents, reports, and calculations to verify accuracy and feasibility.
• Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimations for proposed projects.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address design-related queries and issues.
• Conducting quality control checks on design deliverables to maintain high standards of accuracy and completeness.
• Keeping abreast of industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering design.
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the design process.

The salary for this position is >

R600,000 per annum / R50 0000 - R80 0000 monthly and is negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
