Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Specialist and Estimator to join our team in Boksburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, designing solutions, and estimating project costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct technical assessments of projects and provide recommendations for improvement
– Develop technical solutions and designs that meet client requirements
– Estimate project costs and create detailed proposals for clients
– Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
– Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members
– Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
• Knowledge of material strengths, fits and tolerances.
• Hands-on experience with design, engineering and/or fabrication of pump components
• Good experience with and willing to conceptualise designs using CAD packages.
• Sound knowledge of Metallurgy
• Experience on Vault
• ERP System experience
• Proficient computer skills as well as:
CAD Software
Autodesk Inventor
3ds max
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical design and fabrication detailing
