Responsibilities

  • Source and procure mechanical parts and equipment, with a focus on yellow tape equipment and car parts.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure the workshop is always adequately stocked.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on new products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical workshop team to understand their needs and provide timely solutions.
  • Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, suppliers, and inventory.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a purchaser of mechanical parts
  • Knowledge of yellow machinery as well as vehicle parts
  • Previous experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Skills

  • Strong mechanical background with practical experience.
  • Expertise in procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with yellow tape equipment and car parts.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organized and methodical approach to work.
