Hire Resolve’s Leading mining client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join their mining operations in Kwa Zulu-Natal. The Senior Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within the mining site, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
2. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance team in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of plant and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
4. Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
5. Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective maintenance practices.
6. Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and development opportunities.
7. Liaise with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors to source and procure replacement parts and supplies.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and GCC Mines and Works
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within the mining industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment and processes.
4. Proven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the mining industry.

Benefits:
Salary: R1.8m – R2m
