Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Draftsman (Piping) to join their team in Sasolburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petrochemical piping drafting and be proficient in relevant software and design methodologies. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

Create detailed piping designs and layouts using Auto Cad and 3D Modeling software, with a preference for Cadworx.

Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.

Maintain and update project documentation and records.

Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and project specifications.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior draftsmen and other team members.

Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions.

Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues as they arise.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics and Engineering Graphics and Design and/or a National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship.

5-8 years of applicable experience in petrochemical piping drafting.

Proficiency in Auto Cad and 3D Modeling, preferably with experience in Cadworx.

Proficient in MS Office.

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) with own transport.
