We are looking for an Electronic Technician to analyse, build, modify, test, repair, and maintain electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
- Drafting schematics and PCB layouts in CAD
- Specify and order components for a Bill of Materials
- Solder and assemble (through-hole and SMT)
- Test, fault-find, and repair
- Program and debug embedded microcontrollers
- Set up experimental tests / perform failure analysis and provide simple reports of findings
- Maintain the electronics laboratory
- Order components to maintain stock levels
- Acquire a base technical understanding of CBI products
- NDip or BTech with a focus on electronics (light current)
- 1–5 years’ experience in basic electronics design, assembly, and testing
- Experience in a design environment / working on projects
- Experience in analogue and digital circuit fault finding
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers and C/C (Microchip, Atmel, Arduino)
